The Connecticut Naturopathic Physicians Association (CNPA) is incorporated as a Connecticut 501c6 nonprofit organization, and operates as a professional membership association that represents and advocates for Connecticut naturopathic doctors (NDs).

Bridging a Rich History with Modern Medicine

Connecticut has protected the practice of medicine since 1920, and was one of the first jurisdictions to issue licenses to naturopathic doctors. We are proud of our heritage as pioneers in the advancement and protection of naturopathic medicine, and work diligently to honor our history while moving toward our future.

Naturopathic physicians across Connecticut are as diverse as they are many. While many doctors follow traditional medicine principles, also known as “nature cure,” which emphasize the healing properties of lifestyle medicine, nutrition, botanical medicine, and/or homeopathy, others have integrated with other branches of medicine, and provide higher intervention modalities and cutting-edge treatments. Currently, the scope of naturopathic licensure in CT is outdated and as advocates for the advancement of naturopathic medicine, we strongly support and are actively working toward the inclusion of naturopathic physicians in prescriptive authority in Connecticut.

CNPA also works toward the development of community and camaraderie within the naturopathic profession in Connecticut and beyond, offering networking and mentorship opportunities. Join us, and help protect the future of naturopathic medicine in Connecticut!

Because Naturopathic Medicine IS Powered by Nature!

CNPA is excited to welcome you to The Heritage Hotel and Conference Center in Southbury this Spring for our 2024 Summit: Powered by Nature.

This year, we'll be shaking things up a bit and focusing on the power of nature to bring us together and help us help others. Our two-day event will focus on effective business building, innovating approaches to multiple specialties in medicine, and easily implemented therapeutics. We are pleased to announce our impressive line-up from speakers from multiple branches of medicine. Our conference offers a total of 15 CE hours, the total amount required annually for ND licensure in CT. Eleven hours will be presented in person and four will be available virtually before, during, and after the conference.

A gluten- and dairy-free lunch will be provided for all attendees on Friday and Saturday, and hors d'oeuvres and beer/wine/cocktails will be offered at our Vitalist Awards Ceremony on Friday evening. On Saturday evening, please join us for our Going Green Gala, a green-themed dinner and dance party!

Enjoy connecting and catching up with your colleagues and their families throughout your weekend at The Heritage Hotel, indulging in their indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fitness center, sauna, and steam room.

Please see our event page for more details, including our speaker lineup and the link to our room block. We can't wait to see you there!
